In high school I needed to come up with a Leadership Project for NHS. I learned how to knit and crochet a few months before my project was due. I named the project Knit Love Into It starting with one goal: to make 100 knitted/crochet hats by March 25 2011 for UM Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center patients.
I was able to donate 121 hats and a $500 cashier check to the center. Overjoyed with all the support I received I decided to make Knit Love Into It a non-profit organization.
