Thank you!
In high school I needed to come up with a Leadership Project for NHS. I learned how to knit and crochet a few months before my project was due. I named the project Knit Love Into It starting with one goal: to make 100 knitted/crochet hats by March 25 2011 for UM Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center patients. I was able to donate 121 hats and a $500 cashier check to the center. Overjoyed with all the support I received I decided to make Knit Love Into It a non-profit organization.

April - May 2012
Welcome to our site.
April 11, 2012 marks our one year anniversary. What began as a high school task, became a life time commitment to my heart. I am grateful to all who have contributed and share this commitment. Your act of kindness delivers a special message of hope and unity.
I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the commitment and tenacity of our volunteers and supporters. Between February and March, we delivered 689 knit/crochet hats/slippers to local cancer center and children hospitals. Our Knitlovemeter has reach 2,263 knit/crochet crafts!
We have exceeded initial expectations; however, much more is needed. It is only with your continued support that we will be able to reach other cancer centers and children's hospitals. We provide the caps, slippers, blankets and toys free of charge to the medical patients. Please take a moment to peruse our website to find a way for you to be apart of it.
For the warmer seasons, we are in need of lighter weight yarn (preferably cotton). We also need your help to collect knit/crochet slippers for the cancer patients that are currently in chemotherapy treatment. If you knit/crochet or know of someone who does, please encourage them to join us. If you can’t knit/crochet please consider donating materials or funds.
Join us and get involved today.

CROCHET TODAY MAGAZINE
Special Thanks to Crochet Today magazine for featuring our mission in their January/February 2012 issue. Look us up on page 9.
Happy 2012!
We begin the year 2012 with the faith, that with each new day, we are closer to a cure to cancer.
We have served and will continue to do so, UM Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Miami Children's, Holtz Children Hospital, Baptist Hospital, SafeSpace, United HomeCare and La Liga Contra el Cancer. All donations go directly to the patients free of any charges, individually packed and secured in poly bags.
I want to share with you, that the medical staff, the patients and their families received these crafts with joy and appreciation. They express how they are embraced with compassion and love as they unpack the hats and send their appreciation to everyone that became a part of it.
During our visits to the UM Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and La Liga Contra el Cancer, we had noticed that patients while having their chemotherapy treatments they would be feeling very cold. One of our vivid volunteers Mrs. Olga Fanjul, knitted a pair of slippers to a cancer patient, who then has expressed great comfort during her treatment after wearing the slippers. She has requested if we can do this for other patients as one of our goals, and so we have. Look under “projects” to see a slipper pattern donated by Mrs. Fanjul.
We will continue to collect the heart theme squares for the Saint Valentine’s Day blankets to be delivered to Holtz Children Hospital. Please send yours by February 10, 2012, so your square can be included.
We encourage you to join us in delivering comfort to medical patients.
